THE SINGING TREE (V&A CHRISTMAS TREE), LONDON
I saw the Balenciaga and Opera exhibitions at the V&A over Christmas, but the best thing I saw was in the foyer of the museum: The Singing Tree by Es Devlin. I have a weakness for deconstructivism and have designed a collection based on this very principle (Gabo's Female), so it wasn't surprising that I really loved this piece. Apart from the deconstrovist nature of design, I also enjoyed the transient nature of the piece as projections and sounds were constantly changing, and, as I read (below) were in fact interactive with the visitors of the V&A.
